Prime Location
The magic of the Ecuadorian Andes in Carchi provides the following benefits to our crops:
- Optimal Altitude and Solar Radiation: At 3100 meters above sea level, the incidence of sunlight is more direct and intense. Thanks to our proximity to the equator, we receive 12 hours of uniform and constant sunlight throughout the year. This natural UV radiation is crucial, as it promotes longer, more robust stems, significantly larger flower buds, and, above all, intensifies pigmentation, resulting in incredibly vibrant and pure pink colors.
- Temperate and Stable Andean Climate: The climatic conditions in Carchi are stable and predictable. Daytime and nighttime temperatures exhibit an ideal variation for rose growth, allowing for slow and steady development. This "slow life" in the plant results in flowers with a greater density of petals, firm textures, and superior vase life—characteristics highly valued in international markets.
- Extremely Fertile Volcanic Soils: Our farms are situated on volcanic soils, which are extremely fertile and rich in minerals. These soils provide natural and balanced nutrition to our plants, which is directly reflected in the health and vigor of each rose bush, contributing to the vitality, resilience, and intrinsic beauty of our flowers.
This unique combination of altitude, sunlight, climate, and soil is not accidental; it is the natural recipe that allows us to cultivate roses that not only beautify but also endure and amaze with their size, color, and vibrancy. It is, in essence, the foundation of the “Stebella Difference.”
SOCIAL AND LOCAL RESPONSIBILITY
At Stebella Rose Garden, we firmly believe that sustainability extends beyond the land itself; it encompasses the hands that cultivate it. That's why we are proud to exclusively employ residents of the surrounding communities in Carchi. This commitment to local talent not only ensures a team with a deep understanding of our environment but also allows us to be a pillar for the growth and well-being of the region.
Every rose we cultivate at Stebella is a reflection of the effort and dedication of our people, and of our commitment to social responsibility. By investing in the development of our community, we create a virtuous cycle where the beauty of our flowers intertwines with the progress and quality of life of those who make each bloom possible. We are a family, rooted in Carchi, cultivating not only roses, but also opportunities.
SUSTAINABILITY
We are committed to sustainability, respect for nature, and excellence in every detail. Every rose we cultivate and export meets the most demanding international standards for environmental care and protection, conserving natural resources and promoting the well-being of our communities and employees.
We are in the process of obtaining the most important sustainability certifications such as Flor Ecuador Certified and GLOBALG.AP, which is the international standard for safe and sustainable agricultural production, since from the beginning our crop has adhered to what this standard establishes.
This means that our crops meet the following criteria:

Organic management of nutrients and waste

Efficient use of water through advanced irrigation

Reducing the use of chemicals through integrated pest management
